These custom reins were designed for a rider with arthritis who needed reins that were easier and less painful to hold. Standard reins were too narrow, and even premium “arthritis reins” on the market stretched too easily and weren’t thick enough. The solution: 18mm thick sailing rope, chosen for its strength, flexibility, and zero stretch, paired with high-quality vegetable-tanned leather at the bit and buckle ends.

For extra security, traditional leather rein stops are hand-woven into the rope, helping the rider maintain a steady grip. Finished with classic billet ends, these reins combine comfort, function, and timeless style.
